Mark G. Strahan spake thusly in a message:
MGS> I have an idea that repentance is not clearly understood and
MGS> practiced in a good part of the churches that are Jesus
MGS> name. It seems that I have heard of many of the old timers
MGS> in pentecost preaching a strong message of repentance but
MGS> don't hear it preached much anymore. I can't think of any
MGS> other explanation for the lukewarmness in our midst.
Excellent truths that you have shared. Instead of whining about
catching fish before cleaning them (which is not really an invalid
point when not abused); some had better think about how once a
fish is caught what happens if the fish is not cleaned within
a short period of time.
The "measure themselves by themselves" have sown the wind and are
reaping the whirlwind.
2 Cor 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare
ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves
by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
Repentance is the FIRST step in the true plan of salvation.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
