Bro Masoner,
As the list grows we may need to identify those to whom we are speaking
by more than their first name. I think that things are going to get
confusing. It may be especially disconcerting for a newcomer with the
same name as one of us to feel falsely accused.
I have determined as of today that if I have anything
i might deem controversial or reproving to take it to e-mail. That way any
conflict that results will only involve two people rather than many.
It is very hard to resolve a conflict with so many able to add fuel to the
fire. Even well meaning comments have been taken wrong by some. I don't
know of many pastors who would advocate bringing every action before the
church for scrutiny and discussion and that is exactly what we are doing
with things that should be kept to personal e-mail.
I don't mean this in any way to reprove now but just offer it as a
suggestion to all of us on the list. Many new saints and even those
who are weak in the faith may now or later be part of this list and
be destroyed by some of the disagreements that should be taken to e-mail.
I personally don't want their blood on my hands. My bible tells me that
if I offend any of these it were better that a millstone were tied around
my neck and I were cast into the sea. Christ shed His precious blood for
us all.
In Christ,
MGS
