"Higher-Fire," the Apostolic mailing list, is an _electronic_ mailing
list. That is, subscribers on this list send a message to the "list,"
and everyone who subscribes to the list receives the message. Conver-
sely, you receive every message sent to the list by everyone else --
the list becomes a kind of virtual ekklesia or community.
Currently, traffic on the list runs anywhere from zero to a dozen
messages per day. So, if you dial up to your Internet provider once
every three days, you can probably expect to see several messages
>from the list in your mailbox. Remember also that this is an
_Internet_ list -- I normally post from my work account
(richardm@cd.com), or on occasion from my Freenet account (the
Prairienet address). Other members include several college students
who have an account through their university, and a few pastors and
ministers.
Recognize also that this list has Apostolics of _all_ stripes. Please
do not flame individuals; I also request that you keep criticism of
different Oneness groups on the "nice" side.
To subscribe to the list, send a message to the Internet address
listproc@prairienet.org with the message:
SUBSCRIBE Higher-Fire <Your Name>
Where <Your name> is your complete name, *not* your email address.
For example, if your name is "Simon Barjonah" you would send the
message:
SUBSCRIBE Higher-Fire Simon Barjonah
Shortly thereafter, you'll receive an automated response. If you
have any difficulty at all please contact me at richardm@cd.com.
Using a mailing list is actually *very* easy, and you'll get to know
quite a few people. We currently have members from all over the U.S.,
Canada, Norway, and Sweden.
One more thing: please send an introductory message to the list when
you subscribe so everyone else can say "Hi!"
God bless!
