me: No, Pastor Joe, that was my point. I have *never* seen an
Apostolic preacher in a robe (or his pajamas for that matter :-) :-) )
No, I take that back, I went to visit our former pastor after his
heart by-pass and he *was* wearing pajamas. I stand corrected!
Whether, or not, they turn into Presbyterians is a matter
of personal choice.

Me: I was simply injecting a little humor (albeit misunderstood,
apparently)
into the ridiculous level this beard/suit & tie thread has taken. If you
prefer wearing a robe when you preach, and if this is the accepted
tradition/
custom in your organization (and part of the country) who am I to make
fun? I apologize, brother. No offense intended. We are just a little more
"laid back" here in West Virginia.

me: that's the point I was trying to make in my post. What does it
really *matter* whether one wears a suit and tie, OR a robe, as long as
they preach the TRUTH???? The post was meant to be a humorous, Joe.
you said:
> BTW, would you also laugh uncontrollably at a choir wearing choir robes?
me: Certainly not. The purpose of choir robes is to present a uniform
appearance for all members of the choir, not necessarily to lend an
air of formality. I think choir robes look great, wish our church could
afford them.
> Pastor (still amazed after all these years) Joe
me, *too*, Pastor Joe.
