Hold up.. Let's analyze this for a moment. Paul went into detail about
hair for fifteen verses. In those verses he talks about standards. Then
in sixteen says, (in laymans terms), "well if you don't wanna we don't
believe it either". NOT!
Lets look at that verse. If any man be contentious, contentious toward
what?? Contentious toward uncutting or cutting?? Where is the English
directed here? We have no such customs, neither do the churches of God.
Yeah, they don't. What custom are we referring to?? The custom of man
growing hair long and women cutting their hair.. Its not a matter of long
or short here, either. Its cut or uncut...
Those churches of God had customs of cut hair for men and uncut for women,
not with the choice of "if you don't like it, do what you want.."
If the custom was women cut your hair and men grow it out then we could no
way be separted from the world.. If a sinner would see a woman who is
TOTALLY separated from the world in dress and hair, that persons thoughts
could be, "she's probably one of those religious people."
Be ye separated from the world!! Women, when you don't cut your hair you
have POWER!!
Bro. Aaron(and yes you are right, this is all very simple)Dobbs..
