me: there is *plenty* of racing in this area, Dwarf Car, Late Models,
Modified, Pure Stocks. Racing in itself is not a sin, but I don't think
the "atmosphere" of a dirt track, (half-naked women, rowdy
drunks, etc. ) provides wholesome Christian family entertainment.
Just my opinion, but thanks for the suggestion :-).
We have been doing more family things together since we
disconnected the cable. Board games such as Scrabble,
Bible Trivia, Outburst, checkers, etc. The problem with
board games is that they take some concentration and
effort. I can understand where my hubby is coming
from sometimes. After he has worked out in the scorching
sun (it's been in mid 90's and humid for the past few weeks
here) for 10 -12 hours at his boilermaker trade he just wants
to come home, eat, take a shower, unwind in front of the TV
and go to bed. That's his idea of relaxation! Although I
must admit, and concur with the Barnett's, that since we no
longer have TV in the bedroom, it's been much more interesting!
My hubby hasn't complained about that, at all!
