Hasn't anyone ever been taught that in ancient times, women of a certain
heritage used to cut their hair and sacrifice it on an altar to a goddess?
Bro. Lee Stoneking preached about it at Solo Flight '96 (a conference for
singles in Columbus, Ohio). I don't remember the name of the pagan goddess,
but women would grow their hair their entire lives and then cut it in a bob
and offer the cut-off hair on an altar before this goddess.

Paul's teaching about "no such custom" in the churches of God (JESUS) was
directed at this practice: there is no custom of sacrificing hair to Jesus.

I guess I figured you had all already heard this. I have the tape of the
sermon; if anyone wants more details, let me know and I will find out
specific names, etc.
