You:
It was impossible for him to redeem man without being manifest
in the flesh. That flesh was absolutely essential to our
salvation.
Me:
Right, our benefit, this didn't "change" God at all.
You:
It was the power of God unto salvation. it was his right arm,
his saving power. The spirit was in the flesh reconciling the
world unto that spirit.
Me:
Actually it was the breaking and chastizement of the flesh that
achieved the atonement. God couldn't deny Himself, so He denied
the flesh in which He manifested Himself and then withdrew
Himself letting it die. God, being God, made a Rock to big for
Him to lift, the immutability of His Word in that Adam must die
and then He lifted that Rock, His very person in the Flesh of
Jesus Christ "FORSAKEN" on the cross! HALLELUJAH! There were
no two "selves" in Jesus.
You:
I am not sure that I believe in omniscients and omnipotents of
God in the classic sense. God has weaknesses, there are things
that he can not do. ( I am sure this statement will get some
response).
Me:
I imagine you will. God only has one limit: He cannot deny
Himself. As for omniscience, He always knew how to transcend
this limitation.
You:
I may be taking you a little out of context but I am sure you
will correct me if I am wrong.
Me:
My parents death hit me harder than I at first though but God is
releasing the slightly "kinder gentler" Bro. Tim.
Jesus is the "express image" of God. This passage in Hebrews
connotes a "brand." In what way is anything added to the iron
in the branding process? What about the flesh? AHHH.....
Think of a viel over my face that is plastered to the skin so
tight that you can actually count the hairs in my non-rebellious
beard. Now with this veil on MY face, you ask this "express
image" of me a question. Who answers? What does this
experience add to "me"?
1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am
known.
