Consider this:

(Genesis 10:25 KJV) "And unto Eber were born two sons: the name
of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his
brother's name was Joktan."

peleg = 6389. Peleg, peh'-leg; the same as H6388; earthquake; Peleg, a
son of Shem:--Peleg.

This would seem to me to indicate this is the period of continental drift.

It is not clear at what point this happened. Even though this scripture is

written in the chapter before the Babel incident, generally speaking,
genealogical references given in the Bible sometimes great periods of
time (especially considering the longevity of some Bible characters).
Therefore, although this may have taken place before Babel, it is just
as likely that it occurred at the same time or afterwards. No clear
indication is given for the dating of the birth of Peleg (and consequently
for the dividing of the earth).
