<< We precieve time as "linier": past =>present=>future but if you will, draw
a line of a piece of
paper. The beginning of the line is the beginning of time/creation and the
end of the line is end
of time/creation. >>
Me:
When I studied Integral Calculus and Differential Equations (many years
back), I found that mathematicians and scientists are not bound by the finite
. In order to observe some physical phenomena over a period of time, it may
be studied from "negative infinity" to a specified time (taking into account
anything that ever happened until that particular time), from a specified
time to "positive infinity" (taking into account anything that happened from
that particular time and that will ever happen), and, of course, from
negative infinity to positive infinity (taking into account everything that
has ever happened, or will ever happen). Integration with limits of negative
and positive infinity are not limited to time only, but obviously apply to
space as well. Therefore, by triple integrating, in spherical coordinates,
using these infinite limits, the mathematician or physicist is able to
observe God's entire universe!
You:
<<God is totally transcendant, above and beyond all of these demensions AND
truly incredibly, fully
present in the *smallest* "time/space" *particle*.>>
Me:
In order to study the physical universe *from negative infinity to positive
infinity*:
Ps 90:2
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the
earth and the world, even *from everlasting to everlasting*, thou art God.
(KJV)
, the mathematician must use "differentials" of time and/or space, which are
"infinitesimally" small. An infinite number of these must be integrated (even
for studies over finite periods of time/space) to "create the whole".
You:
<<Don't think about that one too long, you will get a
headache! >>
Me:
I know that many of my fellow students and I got many a headache until we
realized what Einstein had stated; that some things must be *accepted* with
child-like faith, without trying to figure them out. Sounds a little like:
Heb 11:1-3
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the *evidence* of things
*not seen*.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 *Through faith we understand* that the worlds were framed by the word of
God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
(KJV)
I think Einstein borrowed that one from God.
These math and physics students not only demonstrated *faith* in the
existence of things they could not see or explain, but always asked me to led
the group in *prayer*, before all major exams (I was also the Math and
Physics tutor at the college).
You B4:
<<Sis.
I am seeking after the deep things of God through His Spirit.
You:
And finding them!
>>
Me:
Outside of a study of the Holy Bible, there is no other place that I have so
clearly seen the Creator, except in the study of His perfect creation. It is
no wonder to me that Galileo once exclaimed "Mathematics is the alphabet with
which God has written the universe" (paraphrased).
Sorry this post got so long, but I thoroughly enjoy this subject. Any study
of the "pure" sciences will eventually show total agreement with the
scripture.
Anybody out there want to discuss the "Unified Field Theory" ?
