Regarding the transdimensional nature of Spirit...
Brother Brown, it appears we have read some of the same
books. :-)
Let me throw this into the mix.
(Ephesians 3:17-19 KJV) "That Christ may dwell in your hearts
by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, {18} May
be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and
length, and depth, and height; {19} And to know the love of
Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with
all the fulness of God."
Notice that verse 18 speaks of four dimensions, not the normal
three of human comprehension. It mentions breadth (or width),
length, height and the elusive depth. I say elusive because this term
is not just a spatial dimension like the other three. The Strong's
definition is a follows:
depth = 899. bathos, bath'-os; from the same as G901; profundity,
i.e. (by impl.) extent; (fig.) mystery:--deep (-ness, things), depth.
We could interpret this as just the unfathomableness of God but
if we consider it a spatial dimension, that leaves us with a four
dimensional existence. How are we then to comprehend the nature
of God? What if we then extrapolate that spirit is a dimension beyond
the normal three? Could then 'Heaven', the abode of God, be an
alternate dimension?
Consider that as three dimensional beings we can act upon things
of lower dimension though technically we remain fixed in a three
dimensional world. If God is for the sake of the discussion, four
dimensional, He as a higher order, could act upon the three
dimensional world while remaining outside of it. Also consider that
when we receive the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) we then have a
'piece' of a four dimensional existence. It is a link to an existence
beyond our own, beyond our comprehension. Please understand
that I am not in anyway trying to impersonalize the Holy Spirit,
the Spirit of Christ in us. I am just pondering the nature of God and
His action in us. I do not believe that God is limited to our three
natural dimensions nor do I believe He is limited to four dimensions,
He is by His nature, limitless and boundless. But the above
Scripture refers to something beyond our normal understanding
of three dimensional spatial relationships. It is actually closer
to an Einsteinian understanding of space-time.
Just some thoughts...
(1 Corinthians 2:10 KJV) "But God hath revealed them unto
us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the
deep things of God."
I am seeking after the deep things of God through His Spirit.
