Praise God!
We were reminded last week of the incident where the church is praying
for the release of the Apostle Peter from jail. During prayer,
somebody is knocking at the door and a girl checks who it is. To her
surprise, it's Peter! She leaves him at the door and tells the others,
who all tell her that Peter can't be there because, after all, they are
praying for his release from jail HAHA!
Pastor Rogers went to visit a backslid Pentecostal at the the
Vermillion County Jail. His hearing was scheduled for September, and
he couldn't leave the jail until then. He told Bro Rogers that he
would return to God and give up his alcohol and other drugs and his
criminal lifestyle. Bro Rogers instructed this young man to repent
right there in the visitors area, and then Bro Rogers prayed that this
young man would be released before he expected to. They said their
goodbyes and Bro Rogers left the jail.
The next day, Bro Rogers receives a phone call from a family member of
this young man. According to the caller, a deputy came to the young
man not thirty minutes after Bro Rogers left, and instructed the boy
to take his things and go. Bro Rogers was so astonished that he thought
it was a joke a first!
Isn't it wonderful to be SURPRISED by God?

This is excellent, Bro!

This is true only if the sample forms a perfectly symmetric curve.
For example, let's take seven people Joe, Bob, Mary, Kay, Sue, Lee, and
Bubba. We'll measure their height in inches.
Person Height
------ ------
Joe 70.0
Bob 68.0
Mary 62.0
Kay 60.0
Sue 65.0
Lee 66.0
Bubba 88.0
The average height of these seven people is 68.4 inches. Five out of
the seven people sampled, or 71%, are "below average."

was pretty good, too :-)

I'm amazed at our church, where we have close to 100% participation! It
is truly a blessing being a part of a congregation that is so united and
single-minded in purpose. We *all* pitch in and do what's necessary.

P.S. the listproc *seems* to be down, but Tyler and I aren't really sure
yet, so this is also a bit of a test post.
