I was waiting for somebody to address a couple comments you made
concerning the godhead, but since no one did, I will.

You wrote:

I was not calling Augustine's arguments feeble -- it was Augustine

me:

Yes, it is a wonder how God chose to save us. But the only part that is
beyond our comprehension is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest
in the flesh. 1 Tim 3:16. There is zero mystery within the divine nature
of the Godhead. The Bible makes it plain that God is one, Deut 6:4.
Romans 1:20 states; "For the invisible things of him from the creation
of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are
made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without
excuse." It is evident from that scripture that God leaves us no room to
argue that his essence or divine nature is incomprehensible. He is one.
Period. His Godhead is clearly seen, so the scripture says. I don't mean
to be redundant, but the point needs to be driven home in all ranks of
people who call themselves christian that God has fully revealed himself
to be one in every way. There is no progressive revelation of God's
nature.

I do not mean to flame you or anyone. But I know how it feels being
raised trinitarian and not knowing which one to pray to and making sure
in my prayers not to leave one out so as not to offend. When I recieved
revelation that God is fully, totally, essentially, absolutely one, I
can tell you, there were chains that fell off me. I am glad today that I
know who to pray to. I am glad that I can believe that when God said he
was one, he wasn't tricking me! :)

I cannot tell exactly what you believe about the Godhead, but I'll be
praying for you!

Love in Christ,
