Alot of the areas I work in, in the church have got to have the Lords
anionting on it. Myself, I push in prayer until I feel Him with me! I know
that I can't teach effectively if His preasence hasn't prepared the hearts
to recieve. I don't dare sing with out having prayed that He may be
Glorified and that the congragation of his people be lifted up to worship
HIM. Even the bullentin boards I do I pray about. (What message does He
want to say to the Brothers on the mens prayer room boards? The main youth
board?) By the same measure I don't dare sit in the Interpreters chair and
"handle the anointed word of God" without prayer!! Because what the minister
feels, I feel because I am Their voice to these people. (Voice of the
preachers and what God has delivered unto him for delivery to the
congragation). So I weep,or rejoice and throw my whole heart into what ever
He wants me to do! I have sacraficed many a hair-do to present a point in
Sunday School. After interpreting a powerful message I am wore out and often
drenched with sweat and thirsty. But when a deaf person stands praising God,
repenting, being baptized in either the Spirit or in Jesus name, or a smile
has returned to a down-cast face or a sunday school child eagerly shares
the lesson with mom and dad or to cast their arms around me when the spirit
of the Lord is upon them and speaks in tongues, then it was all worth IT!
Truely thrue Christ I can be all things to all people. Because I can do all
things thrue Christ which strenghth me! But I won't dare do it WITHOUT HIM!!
There is a little story about a saint who had a busy agenda of
ministry set up for the day. One was to go visit an individual (Bob) in the
hospital. The Lord told the busy saint go see Bob first. The saint replied
that I will go see him Lord. But, I have the day all mapped out. This one
to go pray for...See this one...etc..... Finally GOD said "Okay fine, you go
do those things. I'm going to go see Bob!"
To which the busy saint cried "Wait, wait, wait Lord! These other
things...I need you with me or it is in vain!"
"I'm going to go see Bob first."
"Okay Lord that's fine. Just a second Lord, Let me turn the car around and
I'll go with you to see Bob first. OKAY?"
We often forget WHO is BOSS and demand of the Lord His presence instead of
Him commanding of ours!
Start your day with the Lords agenda' and Ask him what He wants you to do
today. When you have done His agenda you have had a Perfect day with HIM!
