Blessing/Giviing

Last Saterday evening as I prayed again for the Lord to give me an object 
lesson message for childrens church. He told me to teach them about the
bible principle of giving and it will be given back to you.

He told me the materials I would need were:

1) small cups ie...dixie kitchen or very small coffee
2) dried beans (lots more than the total oz.s of the cups used)
3) a large sheet on the floor

        [He knew what I had in my cabinet better than I did! I had it all!]

Kids love strange activities:  

Have them take off their shoes and stand around on the edge of the sheet 
on the floor.  Each with a cup and about 3/4 full of beans.

Tell them that the beans are Blessings.
And to take some of the beans and put them in the cup of the child on their 
LEFT! and Keep doing it! DO NOT POUR but take and give! (Most generally
people are right handed this leaves their cup OPEN to recieve)

Tell that these blessings THEY are giving are:

Their time to work for the church.
"     Sunday school offerings.
"     foreign missions offerings.
"     home missions offerings.
"     Mothers memeorials offerings.
"     Sheaves for Christ offerings.
"     Prayers they pray for another person to be saved, healed 
 Reading their Bible.
 Being kind and helpful to the elders
 Visiting the sick or sending them a get better card or calling on the phone
to   tell them that you are praying for them.

And all the other givable blessings you can think of.

THEN: You stand in the middle and start adding LOTS of beans randomly to the
cups.

Tell them that God will come by sometimes and add extra blessings.

Blessings of the GOODNESSES of GOD


(You will have at least one child try to get his/her cup totaly empty. Make
sure to watch for this to happen.  If it doesn't you may have to help it
happen.)

When the empty cup happens Point out that there will be times when you will
empty your cup But God will give you blessings and you will only have to
wait for a little bit!!!

This produces laughter as they JUST TRY to out give the blessings! 

TELL them: That this is JUST THE WAY IT IS with God.  You can never give
more than God gives back to you!

Finaly have them stop giving the blessings and pick up all the fall ones.
Put them in their cups until all are full.  Then gather what is left and
just put on and around the cups set in the middle of the sheet. Have them
move back so all can see you take yet another full bag of beans and pour it
over the top of the running over cups.

TELL them: That God has even MORE blessings than they could ever imagine to
be given to them.

Clean up should be pretty easy at this point having gathered the blessings
already on to the sheet.

The Power anointing that I felt when God allowed me to teach this lesson was
AWESOME!  Because it was an authority to Teach Them THIS!  Praise GOD in His
Glorious beauty and grace!

That same night the evanglist preached on "The Best is Yet to Come!" That
God has things in store for the church that we know nothing about yet!
Ballam said "How can I curse what GOD has BLESSED!!!!!"
