I am running Slackware with the Linux kernel version 1.2.8, but I need
to uypgrade to 2.0 because I am running out of sockets, and 2.0
dynamically allocates them.  I am just paranoid to take down an
otherwise functional system for an OS upgrade when it is my only
machine and I need it to earn a living.  I need to get another box :-(
