my response: As I originally posted this message I will clarify.
Yes Bro. Tim, you missed it! I stated that I had been praying about
my husband's beard and asked the Lord to convict my husband
"only if it was not pleasing to Him". At **no time** (if my memory
is correct) did I voice my feelings on the matter aloud to my husband.
At **no time* did our Pastor mention the subject of his mustache.
We began attending this Church Oct. 15th. It was during the East
Coast Conference (Nov 3rd) that *my husband* brought up the question
regarding his mustache. Remember, he had shaven off the beard a
couple of years earlier when required to do so while working in a hazardous
chemical area at one of his job sites (he is a Union Boilermaker).
He apparently must have felt some level of conviction then as he
made the comment "I am not going to let my beard grow back. If I can
shave it for "man" I can keep it shaved for God". I believe our Pastor did
not bring up the matter with my husband at that time as he knew we
we still somewhat spiritually "wounded". We had just left a Church
that had split right down the middle. A new pastor was elected by a
majority of **one vote**. The church was in bad shape spiritually and
our confidence in the ministry was somewhat shaken as a result of
some of the things that took place. The main issue that split the
Church was standards or the **lack** of standards. Too many people
had the opinion that they weren't going to let anyone tell them what
they could and could not do. The large majority of those that felt
holiness and holiness standards were important left the church,
those that didn't, stayed. The church has been on a decline ever
since, as the majority of those that left were the workers, prayer warriors
**and** tithes payers.

So I ask you, if I didn't say anything (until he brought the subject
up) to put my husband under conviction about his mustache,
and our Pastor didn't, then WHO dealt with his heart?
Could it be....GOD?
