me: It's okay for you to quote line after line of scripture to support
(justify)
your position. Extend me the same courtesy. Let's not make this
personal, okay?

me: We ALL have room for improvement. And Yes, I do believe
our Pastor does EVERYTHING 100% by the Bible to the best of his
God given ability. Every subject he has ever taught on, he has given us
scripture to back it up...*including* some of your "so-called" man-made
standards. I have heard him say many times, "I made many mistakes
as a young Pastor, and I have learned from each one of them". Pastors
are not perfect. Pastors are *not* God. This is the third Pastor I have
"sat" under in five years. (The first two retired due to poor health).
He gets "deep" into the Word with us. He doesn't just "tickle" our ears.

You spoke of honest prayer Sis. Do this for me, in love. Ask God if I am
wrong. Ask Him to show you what it is that I am trying to say here.
He'll
tell you. This is a call to tighten up our walk in the Lord for those who
 can recieve it!

me:
Bro. Tim. This has gone way past the Beard issue here. I believe
I already *understand* what you are trying to say. We simply DO NOT
agree on the matter. If you don't mind too much, and if it's all the same
to you, I will just continue to pray as I always have. "Lord, order my
steps. Let me be pleasing in **Your** sight. Let my words AND actions
be as You would have them be. Let me show love to *all*, even
(and especially) to those who don't agree with me. I say a lot of other
things to Him too, I even quote the Word on occasion when praying,
(you gotta know scripture to do that, right?) but that's between me
and HIM. Besides, if I do as you ask and God does tell me that you
are wrong, what then? I don't know your walk with the Lord and you don't
know mine. Again Proverbs 21:2 applies.
