I have been questioning within myself whether not these jokes are
appropriate. To me, they are along the same lines as racial jokes...they
are
based on stereotype and certain physical appearances.

Maybe some of you aren't offended at all, but I take offense to these
jokes
on behalf of those who are blonde, and I'm in no way a blonde. I think
the
jokes are very degrading, and are not even funny.

Does anyone else share my position, or am I making too much of it.

My comments:

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly!

After having read the entire Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21
several times, not to mention the reading of selected chapters/verses on
many occasions while studying particular doctrinal teachings, and even
sitting in front of a typewriter and typing every word of the Bible,
verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, not on just once but
twice, and "if" my memory still functions properly (as I think it does),
I must say that I do not recall having found a single joke recorded
within its pages. For this reason, if for none other, I also find that
these jokes are inappropriate for posting in a public forum, and
especially by Apostolic Christians! It is my humble opinion that such
activity does not conform to the words of Peter, in which he wrote;

"For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us,
LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE, THAT YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS." - I Peter 2:21

I doubt that anyone could say that telling jokes was a means which our
Lord employed during His conversations with others.

Shall we each endeavor, from this moment forward, to seek to order our
actions and words to be such that they "...may excel to the edifying of
the church"?
