Sis, Kathey:
> To look at my 20 yr old brother, most would see a too-skinny kid with
earrings, wearing baggy clothes, a loser with no hope.......but look deep
into his eyes....there is a pain there....a hungry heart that is crying out
"Don't give up on me yet, sis...." He is running from the power of God.
In fact, I believe that is the reason that he resists visiting
church....the conviction while there is too strong for him to bear....

Me:
Weeping! For the first time in a month. THANK YOU JESUS!
Three years ago he saw a mean nasty dirty ol' drunk and called him one more
time. I went to a friends house and told him what had happened to me and
he JUST SAT THERE. His wife said "He needs to baptized, you dummy!" He
called one of the deacons in our church, it was midnight or after, and they
said "No problem!" Let me tell you people, when I undressed to be baptized
the smell was SOMETHING! These guys didn't bat an eye. I had a little
sword, that's right, a sword stuck through my ear (the hole had been ripped
from fights into a little slit). These guys baptized me in the name of
Jesus Christ trying not to offend ME with their involuntary gagging. I
thank God that He saw fit to get me "cleaned up." It wasn't any "slick"
looking preacher that convinced me to come in. When I say that we should
not look upon a man's outward appearance, that is EXACTLY what I mean. I
am a bit cleaner on the outside, quite a bit actually, but oh how my God
has cleaned the inside!

I have been asked a few questions and I have on too. Do all these
"standards" about how a person, one who is dressed in modesty and is not
"flashy" draw the ungodly in or push them out? *I* already know that
answer y'all! I thank God that I have met His standards! I rather think
He likes my beard, I AM made in His image, am I not! Now inside AND out!

See, even if I don't make it to your pulpits, God is making me a preacher!
Think maybe since I'm OK with Him that He will make some I CAN preach in?

(laughing now) Thank you Jesus! I am praying for your brother Sis!
