Beards and the workplace

Whether having a beard is Biblical or unBiblical,
spiritual or unspiritual..is not what I am trying to prove
when I say what I am about to say.
Someone else on here has already made a similar point but
I would like to reiterate it.
When I was working as a manager at the local McDonalds,
I was *required* to be clean shaven. In fact, if anybody was
not clean shaven, they were sent home to shave. I was being
payed a measley $6.50 an hour and having to follow the McDonald
standards. Not only did I have to be clean shaven, I had to wear proper
attire. My uniform had to be McDonald issued and I even had to
wear a McDonald tie(in which I thought were pretty ugly!)
I was always reminded by another manager about having
a 12 o clock shadow and/or forgetting my tie(by accident...honest!)
I did this for a low paying, stressful customer relations job.
The job I work at now does not require me to shave. I still do though
because to me it looks more proper and professional.
If the workplace thinks clean shaven is right, then how much
more should we in the church follow it?
