> praying to someone who just isn't there, (trinitarians)

Okay, now don't crucify, but when I used to be trinitarian (Methodist), I
prayed to God, and He heard me. I wouldn't be where I am today if He
hadn't.
Most of my old friends who are trin. don't believe in three gods. They
believe that there is One God with three manifestations. Is that the same
thing as persons? They deny the belief of believing in three gods. Maybe
I'm just confused (if I am, please clarify for me). I just remember right
before I got into church, I prayed one night and said this "God if something
doesn't change in my life, if this is all there is....then there isn't any
reason for me to even be here..". A week later, a girl from the UPC church
sat down next to me in one of my classes. Two monthes later, I had the
Holy Ghost.
So to say that a trinitarian is praying to someone who isn't there just
doesn't make sense to me. I KNOW that my God heard my cry.
