Somebody:
> >>I guess we also have to consider that the death of Jesus marked the
beginning of the dispensation of grace, which includes the holiness
standards such as a man wearing a beard. So in the time of Jesus and the
apostles walking the earth, beards weren't thought wrong in any fashion.<<

Me:
I been gone, what, a month, and we are still on beards? Boy....

Bro. George:
> Where are the holiness standards found? Where are beards mentioned?

Me:
I think the standards for Holiness are found in verses of the Bible
starting at Genesis 1:1 and ending with verse 21 in the book of the
Revelation.

I personally think they can be summed up in three, though:

Bro. Jesus in Matthew chapter 4:
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord
thy God.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Can you do this with a beard?

I have had an "insight" into the age of Grace. I have heard many say that
they are sinners saved by Grace, these are the "nominal"
Christians. I am not among those who are sinners that are saved by Grace.
When I was an alcoholic driving my car home in a blind stupor, I was a
sinner saved by Grace but not anymore. When I had guns pointed at me and
was hit in the head with sticks, I was a sinner saved by Grace, but not
anymore. When I stumbled and at times foolishly walked into places I
shouldn't have been, places they should have killed me, I was a sinner
saved by Grace. I was under Grace then and I am under Grace now and by the
same Grace that allowed me to live long enough to be saved from my sinful
nature, I am now a child of God, brother of Jesus Christ, Holy through
confession of my sins which He paid for upon His death and Alive as long as
I remain in Him. I still sin on occasion but I am no "sinner." I have
always been "saved" by Grace but now by that same Grace God is offering me
the chance to remain in this Grace by remaining in Christ and living
sinlessly because He has taken my sins away at my baptism in His name and
those I have committed since then and will commit in the future through
confession and repentance. The age of Grace began with Adam, y'all!

We more correctly live in the age of "Baptism." ;-)

It's good to be back! (for me anyway ;-)
