Prairienet Email Problems

Greetings Fellow Higher-Fire'ans out in cyberland!
There's been many a problem with H-F email lately. And I don't think
it's so much H-F as it has been prairienet problems. They, the admins,
upgraded the listprocessor from 7.2 --> 8.0 a couple of mondays ago thinking
it was going to go smoothly. Evidently it caused more problems than what
thought to have happened.
For me, things went relatively well, until about Thursday morning, my Eudora
client could only *pull* messages from prairienet and not send messages to
prairienet from work. The same is being experienced with my account on
netcom as well <tgnally@ix.netcom.com>. I can retrieve messages, but I
can't send any.
In order for me to get this message to you, I have to telnet to prairienet
and start up PINE (the email program) and do it the manual on-line way.
On top of those troubles, prairienet has been having connection problems
with the internet so that some mail sent there doesn't arrive... generally
not a really good situation to have happen....
Also, with my current set of troubles getting email, Bro Richard isn't around
to help because he's on vacation, so there's really no efficient way of
approving messages easily to help with the whole process....
Also (another also..), yesterday, my wife (Sis. Treva) went in for scheduled
surgery to correct a problem she's had for nearly seven years. The surgeon
was pleasantly surprised with the operation going *far better* than what he
had anticipated. He knows the risks and realizes what might happen. The
Lord had his hand on Sis. Treva and she had a *shorter* operation as well
as a *shorter* time in the recovery room. She'll probably be in till
sometime on July 4th when she'll probably gain her *independence* from the
hospital. To which I'll take her back home to Illinois at that time. So...
with me frequenting the hospital, I've not much extra time to
approve/discard mail like I'd (and you'd) like as well.... so.... you see...
there's many a thing preventing the frequent delivery of Higher-Fire
postings this week....
Sorry for the delay's
Bro Tyler
