For the past few months, the outreach team gathers on Tuesdays to pray
at the church... preparing our hearts for outreach through not only
prayer walkin... but other methods...

We also have been preparing ourselves through fasting regularly. Every
Tuesday after praying... one of us is assigned to do a 10 minute motivational.
This helps us to organize our thoughts and prepares us to speak effectively
when witnessing to a busy world... I cannot begin to tell you how much this
has helped me to be a more effective instrument in God's hands.

The first time we went on a prayer walk was last Tuesday. The outreach
director picked 2 different neighborhoods to target. Before we left,
the director gave some direction to the prayer walk. I was very
encouraged by what he said... "This city is not our city it is God's
city... These people are not our people, they are God's people... and
this church is God's church... Satan is an invader, he invaded in the
garden and he invades these people's homes... it is our job to pray
the power and protection of God over these homes and that God will use
His church to be the beacon of light that they are drawn to for instruction,
revelation and complete salvation." Then the Pastor and leadership
annointed each one of us with oil and we all prayed in one mind and one
accord for the same goal. The pastor and leadership made it clear we
are not to go praying out loud like the hypocrite on the street corner
as God's Word instructs, but to proclaim the Word of the Lord in your
"godly conversation".

It was very successful and encouraging to continue to proclaim the
Word of The LORD wherever you go "In Jesus Name!" We have an average
of 6-8 saints at the outreach prayer meetings (approximately 50 saints
in the church which includes children). These saints are not appointed
by leadership, but volunteer to be a part of it. The pastor and assistant
pastor and his wife are also involved. The women prayer walk together
and the men prayer walked together. I never realized how often
we do this in our daily walk with God. Everyday I do a prayer walk from
my car to my office. I lay hands on the mission statement plaque of
the college as well as the department labels next to their doors if
appropriate. Sometimes it is not always possible to do this depending
upon the traffic in the hallways... God knows the intent of my heart.

Well I have rambled on long enough... God is only Good and He is working
a work among us and I am honored to be used as an instrument in His hands!

Love and God bless in Jesus Name
