Dear friend,

You are being far too general! I don't understand an Apostolic list
that is constantly REBUKING Apostolics! We're not some merciless,
international tribunal bent on the death sentence for struggling
brothers and sisters! We don't all go about with powdered wigs and a
gavel in our hand. Pentecost isn't a witchunt for offenders of the
Faith! We're not an Inquisition!

Introspection is always valuable, and I think it does us all good to
consider (re-consider) our attitudes and spirits, but this constant
railing against Bible-believing, holiness-living Apostolics
Christians is getting VERY OLD!

I'm sorry for those who have been hurt and abused at the hands of
insensitive Believers. I just came through the most excruciating
experience of my Christian walk. It tried my faith and shook my
foundations, and I suffered much at the hands of people you are
supposed to be able to trust. I can't intimate the details, but I
can tell you that it has not dimmed my view of this glorious Church!
It hasn't made me view Apostolics, in general, as viperous Pharisees.
I've come through stronger with an understanding of God's great love
and the fallibility of men who are trying, perhaps very sincerely, to
do the work of God!

All of this judgementalism needs to cease. I'm sick to death of
hearing Apostolics who keep with the old paths downgraded as
second-class citizens in the Kingdom of God holding on to some faded,
outdated vision of evangelism and Kingdom-building.

Please don't think I'm angry, but we should be trying to keep the
unity of the faith not divide along lines that probably do not even
exist.

Bro. Matthew Shaw
