hmmmm...I never knew there were variations. I am a Oneness Pentecostal,
aka Apostolic whose pastor holds a card from the UPC (for now anyways)
and whose church is trying to be affilliated with the UPC (if they will
have us). I believe the salvation doctrine, I believe that holiness (if
done for the Lord and not for man or self) is pleasing to the Lord, I
beleive that we are to separate ourselves from the evil of this world. I
also know that the Lord wants me to talk to others so I need to show
love (charity with all things) in fact love is a predominate issue with
the Lord. I know I must be open to listen to to others and yet also
proclaim the gospel and never entertain false doctrine. I know we must
love our fellow man and not just our church brethren
While I love to discuss doctrine I always have a motive to show the
other party the truths that exist in the Bible, I am not particularly
open to new teachings - there is one gospel.
With all that said I try to be a Bible believing Christian. I try to
live by the Word. I am not a moderate or a conservative, just a plain
ol' Bible believing Christian. The qualifiers are just ways of forming
walls, the people that gossip in church are just being used to hurt
unity. We need less division and more unity....we are one body with
different members so there might be some variation. So lets focus more
on the similarities and less on the differences. By belittling the
differences we may be guilty of 1) turning off the new and old list
members, 2) turning off the seeking archive surfer & 3) placing
stumbling blocks in the path of our fellow brother.
Lord Bless,
Bro. Bill Clifton
