Talk of Unsubscribing and the Holy Ghost

Greetings Saints of the most High God!

You know ..... I hate to say this, but the Lord brought this to me when
I was mowing my lawn on Saturday.

All this talk of "unsubscribing" and such shows me the "disposable" society
we all live in. We have instant potatoes, coffee, orange juice, sainthood,
marraige, and divorce. All because we want them.

Remember a few weeks ago when there were posts that had the subject line
of "What good is the Holy Ghost?" ... I started that thread back then and
it took a week before anyone caught on about it. Most of the initial
reactions were such that I was blaspheming the Holy Ghost by questioning
the good of the Holy Ghost if no one was taught how to use the resources
and strength that the abiding presence of God (the Holy Ghost) brings to us.

Apostolics get divorced because there's *too big* of an injustice happening
in their lives and they don't lean on the Holy Ghost (because they've never
ever been taught) to make the marraige right and straighten it up. The
couple with the marraige problems has had it up to "HERE" and just won't
take it anymore. Who knows, maybe they're about to go postal on the other
one or somethin'. Anyway, it boils down to the fact that Holy Ghost filled
saints absolutely fail to gain strength from God to stick it out for the
long haul. Not once thinking that once God moves in their lives, that the
marraige that is currently a battlezone might very well be a model of bliss
as an example of others.

What gets the wedded couple through it? By examining them, there's
absolutely nothing in themselves that'd even keep them together. They
once thought they were in love but somehow they've drifted apart. If they
learn to lean on the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost will be faithfull to guide
them back to the place they once were and then take them several steps beyond.

I really think this is where apostolics really fail in the sense that after
the big push for someone to become Acts 2:38 certified (repentence, water
baptism in Jesus name, and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of
speaking in other tongues), there's no further instruction to lean on the
Holy Ghost, gain strength, and guidance. How can we lean on God for strength
when there are examples around us all of the time of apostolics *not* leaning
on the Holy Ghost for guidance, strength, and direction? I think that very
few ministers/pastors teach that very guidance of the Holy Ghost that I speak
of. We truly live in an instant world where we are gratified whether it's
good for us or not.

It's easier to just get *indignant* about a situation, cause the split and
then go one with life. It far harder to humble one's self before God, ask
forgiveness, seek the guidance and will of God, and make things right.
