Just because there are isolated gossips in a church doesn't mean that
> we can indict the Church for gossiping. No doubt, there are those
> types in every assembly, but you cannot characterise an entire church
> (let alone an entire movement) based on the talebearing actions of a
> few (and of course the demographics may be different in different
> congregations).

me: "A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful
spirit concealeth the matter" Proverbs 11:13

This is one of the verses our Bible Quizzer's must memorize.
When we first studied it, my daughter said "Grandma _____________
should learn this one Mom".
At age 10, she has already realized that Grandma has a real problem
with "gossip". Grandma is always careful to add "I am so
"concerned" about so and so" after she says "did you hear about?"

We need to pray MORE and be "concerned" a whole lot
LESS, don't you think?? I want to be one of the ones people
think of when they hear the words "but he (she) that is of a
FAITHFUL spirit". I don't want to be like Sister Big Lips, Sister
Long Tongue or Brother Short Temper.
