Matthew 21
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold
and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers,
and the seats of them that sold doves,

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of
prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

And a little later:

23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders
of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority
doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?

Isn't it 'funny' that when Jesus overthrew the tables and the like that He
quoted Scripture and a day or so later the Jewish 'Grand Pooh-bah's'
<standard "refering only to the pooh-bahs of two millenia past" disclaimer>
asked Jesus by what *authority* He did these things?

Matthew 20
25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of
the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise
authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you,
let him be your minister;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,
and to give his life a ransom for many.

Who then among you shall ask by what authority we say to those who would be
greatest: "Will you indeed serve and not rule nor have dominion over us?"
