Yep, yep, yep. I used to work for a rental car company and to get the
older worn vehicles thru the dealer auction, I have taken them in and had
them detailed. (my cost was $45, but the regular price with oil was just
$90 at a hungry Boston dealer) And then over to the tire shop to have the
cheapest tires on them. And if I really wanted to get one sold, I would
drop $100- $125 for a new windshield. Amazing what engine, tranny, or
brake trouble would get zipped over when it looked like it was ready to
sell. Oh, and when you open a door, take the rubber molding off the door
sill, it is comes off easily. If the sills are all shiny, and there is a
bunch of gook under the rubber, pay close attention to the rest of the
car.
I never sold anything that caused me to lose sleep. I guess that is why I
no longer work for the same company.
