Sis Lisa,
I think that sometimes we become impatient for revelation and knowledge,
careful this is not a criticism, but an observation of humanity. I believe
that we are learning everyday, sometimes even more so, when we think we are
not. That is if we have a desire to learn and there are all kinds in the
Church. Its refreshing to have someone come into the Church who has a strong
desire to learn, they pass up some of the old pew warmers as though they are
sitting still.
You can ask our children what did you learn at school today? And everyday
they will say nothing, and they are being honest. But I don't believe they
are correct, and you don't either.
Learning is a life long adventure or it should be anyway. How many times have
you read a scripture that you have read a thousand times, but this time it was
different, the whole thing took on meaning that thrilled you. But in reality
everytime we read that scripture and others was the ground work for the
revelation that we just got. And so is life, here a little and there a
little, the work and labor of a life time. So hang on to your desire to
understand and don't take the easy road, remember that God once winked at
ignorance, but that is not true anymore. He desires to show himself to us and
that we be illuminated with the knowledge of his presence. Because to know
Him is to Love Him. And the better you know Him, the more you will Love Him.
