I don't think the medical field says that. It's takes the genetic code
of A's, B's, or O's from the sperm to mingle with the genetic code of A's,
B's, or O's from the egg to cause the blood to have a type.

I think the concept of "the blood originates in the sperm" is incorrect
by the meer fact that a man and a wife can have kids with different blood
types. All using the same genetic material. If there wasn't any female
contribution, then we'd all have the same type as our fathers and there'd
be no varying degree of blood types.

Think about it, if your an "A" type (which means you send on the A or O
marker) and your wife is a "B" type (which means she sends on the B or
O marker), if the child were to strickly have blood based solely on the
male, then the possibilities would only be "A" or "O". But because there's
a female element in there, the different combinations based on the
contributing genes for the blood are AO, AB, OB, or OO.

This idea of the blood coming from "Daddy" is genetically incorrect. I
remember when I hooted and hollered when I first heard it in church. And
thought that is was a great, great, and marvelous thing. I also remember
writing those very thoughts on USENET's CHRISTIA (bit.listserv.christia)
and they just about tore me another opening in my body at the possibility
of the "ridiculous idea of blood coming from Daddy." All the while giving
biological references and examples about such not being the case.

That's why I said, if it is *holy* blood, then when the Holy Ghost over-
shadowed Mary, God provided both elements of the necessary DNA combinations
(hey! he's got the power to do so) to make it so that the child was all
human and all God. Jesus got his blood chemistry from God *only*. We,
the remainder of the human race (with the exception of Adam), get our
blood chemistry/makeup from both of our parents.
