I stand corrected...which has happened to me a LOT today...
I pose this question to the list. I thought I had this down, but my new
"Christian" friend I recently met is helping me to hone my bible study
skills.
He believes that the instant you accept Christ into your life, you are filled
with the Holy Ghost. HOWEVER...he believes that that "baptism" of the
Holy Ghost (with the evidence of other tongues) is a 2nd work of grace,
not given to everyone. He mentioned people who were filled with the Holy
Ghost before the day of Pentecost.
ref scriptures:
Luke 1:15
Luke 1:41
Luke 1:67
It is my belief that the baptism of the Holy Ghost is synonomous with the
infilling of the Holy Ghost, and is ALWAYS evidenced with other tongues.
ref scriptures:
Acts 1:5 with Acts 2:4
Acts 4:8
Acts 10:46
Acts 19:6
INPUT PLEASE...
