Sorry, but it is to short a literary work to be coverable by
copyright, which would apply even without your specifically claiming
it. Since it is not copyrightable, the only way you can protect it by
trademark, and trademark protection only applies where interstate
commerce is involved. Although email is certainly interstate, I see
no financial transaction implying commerce.
I was lazy this time and did not check the Federal Patent Office to
see if "prolly" is already trademarked, and if so by whom and in what
domain(s). YOu see, I could trademark "Prolly" as a name of a toy
parrot (after "Polly", who alwants a cracker), and that would still
leave its use in some other field open.
