<<as for your "Christian Fellowship" Im not sure as I posted earlier this
week that being part of such a fellowship is a good Idea for us
Apostolic. Our acceptance of Sin in the lives of other "Christians" is
re enforce because we look at there apparent relationship with God and
there devotion, and there Sincerity and and and we over time accept them
as Christian Sisters...>>

I should have added that I was a part of this Christian Fellowship for
my first two years of college, but I am not longer involved in their
meetings. My decision to leave the group was not a result of the
homosexuality issue, however. I did not feel like I could worship God
in the context that the group had placed Him in. (That touches on the
issue of "rubbing shoulders" that you mentioned later in your post.)

My decision to leave was based more on a conviction that I needed to be
identified with God rather than this particular group on campus. Since
leaving this group, I have found that my opportunities to witness have
increased greatly.

Maybe I'm talking in circles, but I really do not believe that we need
to ostracize ourselves from other Christians. Although I was raised in a
UPC church, I have questioned our beliefs often. This has not caused me
to reject those beliefs; rather, it has made them stronger. We need to
associate with people of other faiths simply because we can learn from
them. The UPC does not have a monopoly on God.
