Actually, it is Mark Wehledge's (who is the music director and
choir leader) FATHER, Evangelist Rick Wehledge that is critically
ill. Many of you may know him as he has evangelized all over the
country. The Wehledges are out of our church here in Muncie, IN
and are good friends with our Pastor and several families from
our church (including my in-laws), so we receive regular updates.

Bro. Wehledge was diagnosed with Cancer less than a year ago.
Last Thursday they found out the cancer has spread to his brain
and he has already started hemorrhaging. As of last night, he is
unconscious much of the time. When he does regain consciousness
he cannot see or talk, but he seems to know who is around him.
Reportedly, one of the last things that he was able to say was in
response to the question "How do you feel?" Bro. Wehledge's
barely audible response was, "This may be the best day of my
life...I am going home."

The church pastored by Bro. Wehledge's son in law brought a group
to the Wehledge's home to "have church." They even brought the
church choir. A backslider and friend of the family prayed
through during that service. Someone said to Bro. Wehledge as he
lay in his bed seemingly oblivious to what was going on, "Bro.
Wehledge, there is revival in your home!" Miraculously, Bro.
Wehledge was able to lift one hand in the air (something he had
not been able to do for some time before and has not done since)
and mouth the words, "Praise God."

Please pray for God's will in this situation and especially for
Sis. Wehledge. If God takes our precious Bro. Wehledge home,
which appears to be the case, she will need the strength and
comfort of the Holy Ghost to see her through it.

God speed,
Kirk
