Modesty for men in the Bible (was Re: heart moving)

You know what, I don't recall any commandment or scripture telling MEN to
dress modestly. All of the modesty scriptures I have ever read where directed
towards women. The only thing I have seen is in I Cor. 11:14 - "Doth not even
nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shme unto
him?" That's it. But most of I Cor. 11 is dealing with a woman's hair; I
Tim. 2:9-15, women; Titus 2:3-5, women; and I Peter 3:3-6, women again.

Now, I can understand the Holy Ghost convicting you (men) not to wear skin-
tight pants or muscle shirts that show off your chest; or walking around with
you shirt unbuttoned, etc. But, there are really now modesty SCRIPTURES
directed towards men. And about the shorts, not all men can say they have
that conviction. Not everything the Spirit may convict YOU of is a conviction
of everyone. I wanted to work out one day and I took a pair of my husbands
old, too small sweat pants and thought that by cutting them at the knee, they
would be okay to work out in here at home. No sooner after I got downstairs,
the Holy Ghost pulled and tugged at me something fierce. I tried to ignore it
at first, but I just couldn't. I ran upstairs and changed. But there are
some Holy Ghost-filled women I know that wear nothing but skirts and dresses
but if they are working out, have no problem what so ever about putting on a
pair of sweats. Maybe not their husbands ( I think that was part of the
problem - definately a MAN'S garment) but quite possibly some pink, very
oversized ones ( so the shape does not show).

So, of course if you are convicted, by all means give what ever it is up; but,
some things ( like "Bill's" circumstance) have no actual Biblical teaching
against them.
