You:
But when God speaks, there is no substitute for obedience.
Me:
I agree 100% with this statement! Where you and others do err and err
GREATLY, is when you ASSUME that since God has given you a (singular)
conviction about clothes or has given you a PERSONAL conviction, that this
is the LAW for the whole body. As to declaring something UNCLEAN:
Acts 15:10
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the
disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
The posts I have recieved are from people who in sincerity wish to do the
right thing and when faced with man made rules that have no biblical
support causes them to wonder just how much OTHER stuff comes from the
pulpit that isn't of God. They then feel lost and abandoned and just kinda
drift. Those who choose to stand on the Word alone have a tough fight on
their hands but I for one am determined to STAND. I will not attack but I
serve notice now that you will, if you intend to continue on your present
course, find me standing face to face to you. You can go around, or over
but you CANNOT go through.
You seem a sincere enough man and I would that we both indeed pray about
this situation. Was this just an admonition for me alone or will you join
me?
And how shall we pray sir? Shall we say "Lord, I know I am right, smite
this ignorant Philistine?" or shall we do on this wise:
"Lord, none indeed has all the answers but all whom you have approved know
you ARE the answer. Bring us into agreement, one with another, not because
we have been convinced by argument, but because we have all submitted unto
Thee oh Lord and have diligently sought to do that which you have delivered
unto your servants who have humbled themselves as per the example you set
Yourself in the flesh of Jesus Christ..."
