Come now, Bro. Chris. Nobody is suggesting that Pentecost trade
the anointing of God for academic achievement. I have heard some
of our finest, annointed preachers ferverently endorse higher
education. I have also heard many ministers voice their regret
that they did not go to college or that they did not go as far as
they could have with their education. Conversely, I have never
heard a minister complain that the time they spent receiving an
education was wasted.

It is true that one certainly does not NEED educational
credentials to be a good minister, but they certainly do not
hurt. Such credentials can only enhance one's effectiveness. I
will never forget what my pastor told me one time when I was
young and trying to plan my future. He told me when one adds
education to God's anointing...you have a powerful combination.

Paul studied under one of the finest teachers of his times, Dr.
Gamaliel (Acts 5.34, 22.3) :-) It is also a well document fact
that Paul was well studied in the philosophy of the day. So, I
wouldn't use him as an example to state your case.

God speed,
