I think you have made a very good statement here.
Modesty is just that.....if you look modest you are modest.
If we notice most holiness issues are on dress ( modesty )
and hair. where are not it is to be cut or not to be cut.
WE attack women as if we have not forgiven them for leading us astray in
the garden.
We have inherited a lot of emotional issues from our holiness background.
Men can wear facial hair, for there are not any scripture against it....
only one says we are not to round the edges. So if a man wants to look
scaggly let him alone.
So the whole matter is this, if we have a congregation of modest,
clean people who pray in the spirit and witness to people and our
churches are spiritually active and the services are full of the
spirit......
LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! DO NOT MESS WITH A GOOD THING.
When I pastored, I never wasted the saints time or God's with a message
on holiness, if they were holy. I have a lot of memories of long
boring sermons on holiness ,when everyone ALREADY believed that.
