SISTER VIN-VIN (My new nickname, if it's a prob, email me at my add!
:) SAYS:
Dear Brother,
In response to the above mentioned subject I would like to say that
music has a lot of power. Satan is aware of it as well. We can see
what Rock Music is doing to young people today.

ME SAYS:
AMEN

SISTER VINESSA
In the Church however I have to agree with you that not all people
worship in the spirit some do with their own emotions and sentiments
and
get caught up in it.

I can agree with you on the experiment because I'm an organist and
tried
the same a couple of months ago only to realise that I should not
fool
with the ability God has given me and the worship of saints.

I don't know but it is my peronal thinking that one should do what
the
spirit of God makes them do. The Bible gives us many examples as
you
must be aware of people singing, dancing, clapping, shouting in the
spirit. I believe that if the spirit of God says shout then shout!
If
clap then clap - so on and so forth.

God bless you brother as you endeavour to worship the Lord.

In HIS love,

Vinessa D'Sa

ME SAYS:
Amen to what you said. But let's not get confused here. (You
haven't, but others have sister Vin-Vin.) God works through our
emotions. When we are in the Spirit, we are receiving a blessing
from Him. But at the same time, we are praising Him. Our worship is
almost selfish (isn't everything we do). Not only are we to worship
IN the Spirit, but also BECAUSE of the Spirit and FOR the Spirit! We
are to jump FOR joy, not neccesaraly *because* of joy. We clap in
worship to the Lord, and that doesn't mean we have to be in a
spiritual realm where the Holy Ghost dictates our movements. Of
course He is *directing* us, but we don't have to be in a "Holy Ghost
trance!" :) We are simply rejoicing, through our emotions, by
clapping and dancing. Surely the disciples clapped, sang, and maybe
even danced in anticipation of the return of Christ in a baptismal
Spirit! (Baptism of the Holy Ghost) Even though the Holy Spirit had
not yet infilled them, they were able to worship and give praise to
God. However, we must, as you stated, be careful as to who is still
in control in the big picture! :-)

I affirm the biblical foundation for a relationship with God: We are
to turn away from doing wrong, be baptized in the name of Jesus in
accordance with scriptural examples, receive the marvelous gift of
the Holy Spirit, and embrace a daily walk with Him. (See Acts 2:38)

God bless you and keep you in His wonderful grace!
