Waiting for the answer (was Re: Maintained...)

Hi all,
I read something amusing recently in this thread. Someone (I think Bro.
George) posted about Jesus being the cornerstone and Peter being the "key"
stone (all of us being "lively stones", I would add, but...). Someone
responded (I don't know his name because my computer only shows an email
address and he hardly ever signs his posts) that they weren't sure if Bro.
George was trying to say Peter was the "rock".
Here's the "funny" part. The unknown Brother in question asked for
clarification (which is fine), but rather than wait for the appropriate
response, he proceeded to write a long sermon on why Bro. George's assumed
position was the same as the RC church (which clearly it was not). Folks,
if you're going to ask a question for clarification, ask it, but mean it.
If you really asked the question sincerely, you will wait for the answer*
before you proceed to type for an hour based on a false assumption! :)
Otherwise, you give the impression that you weren't willing to listen to
the answer in the first place, but had your own agenda. (Three fingers
pointed at myself, but I've been better at it lately.)
But, we all do our own thing, I guess. :)
hehehe,
Anneliese
