Kathleen Dimick:
Jesus is the Christ, Christ is the Rock, Jesus is the Word, the Word
is Truth, the words are the doctrine, Jesus is the truth ergo, these
are all synonymous. There is really no need to split hairs, the
doctrine that Jesus is the Christ is the rock that the Apostles, the
Prophets and Jesus Christ Himself preached. They preached that Jesus
is the Christ.

I write:
We are either built upon Jesus Christ or upon a doctrine, that is not
splitting hairs, that is very different, if you are built upon the
Author of the doctrine or the doctrine of the Author. I am built upon
the Solid Rock, Petra, Jesus Christ. Peter was a petros, a few
verses on in the chapter Jesus looks at Peter and says Get thee
behind me Satan. Certainly shaky ground to be built upon , the
interpretation of different ones as to doctrine or teachings, or
thoughts, but Jesus is the Solid, unmovable Rock. I believe in
doctrine, teachings, but much more solid is to be built upon that
Rock, the Rock of stumbling and offense.
