When I was composing the message, I debated to call it a "self-annointed"
message. Meaning, the message came from the being of the minister giving
the word and not the throne of God.
Yet, there was whooping and hollering (all caught up in the emotions we
have grown to call *the moving of the Spirit*) beause of this
self-made-message that God had no part in.
>Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath

You're lucky. It's sad to say, but I'd guess that the ones that are
fooled by it, don't know that they've been fooled yet. They just accept
the (false) word as declared from the pulpit ... hook, line, and sinker.
They don't examine the word to see if what was said lines up with other
parts, they *compare* the words -vs- their current apostolic experience
(and traditions) and then base their judgement. Because the message seems
*normal*, they accept it and let the words slide.
About silly topics preached on with *self-annointed* messages that gained
quite a favorable review .... has been ... "open toed shoes", "the knee-high
-vs- pantyhose" message. And probably a whole lot more. I'd venture to
say that I wouldn't be surprised if what is currently called *Holiness
Standards* came from self-annointed messages.
I think the "funny things and ideas" of pentecost come from such messages.
