Hmmm
Pardon me but... Eph. 2:19-22 seems put a dapper on your thought... " We
are built upon the Foundation of the Apostles and prophets, Jesus being
the chief cornerstone."

I believe that the Rock Jesus was referring to in Mat. 7:13-28 was indeed
the same rock that he referred to in Mat. 16:17-18   The Revelation of
the God Head is the Foundation that the true church is built upon... any
other.. (Trinity) is on the sand
