Misunderstanding

I, for one, am sorry to see Brother Thorn leave the list although I can
understand his reasons for wanting to do so. I have noticed a pervasive air
of hostility coming from many members of this group. Has anyone else felt
this?
I've seen individuals berated for something as petty as a misspelled word!
That's absurd. But we must keep up appearances for those perusing the
archives. I suppose that this is one of the problems you run into with a
moderated list. I've been on the Apostolics list with our Hispanic brethren
for a year now and have not experianced this sense of hostility. (It's an
unmoderated list.) Sure there are heated debates and such but the members
of the list, being self-governing, control the temper of discussion. There
is a large sense of fairness and equality with no one exerting a pretense
of superiority over anyone else. I've enjoyed much of what transpires on HF
but I fear that if something doesn't change soon I too, like Brother Thorn,
will be voting with my keyboard.
