Misunderstanding

I have waited for two days and searched my mind for an answer to all the
confusion that has occured because of my expressing myself about the Holy
Priesthood.(Pure Lineage)
The primis for my thinking was inspired by the discussion goung back and
forth about facial hair. (water down version of a beards on men)
Having been around holiness people since my youth, and being baptized in
Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost since early 1970, I have seen a
few things happen amoung Oneness people and UPC that would not (and should
not) have occured had the attitudes of the people been in agreement. I don't
pretend to be athoritative in the matters, but I do have an opinion.
Everyone else does.
The very first thing that happened after posting, I was corrected by one of
the brethren for my incorrect spelling. Since I sometimes speak at city
council meetings and have been corrected in front of many people for misuse
of a word, this minor infraction didn't bother me.
I then made mention that some people may have a problem with subjecting
themselves to authority. This is apparently a sensitive area for some
people, because that is, and was the gist of my personal idea of in
discussing the Holy priesthood.
I then mentioned a message preached by Brother Kilgore at the general
conference in 1978, "Don't Forget Momma," when similar circumstances had
came up in the org. then and a split took place. It could very well be that
some of the org's mentioned later could have been a product of that split. I
do not know, but my reason for writing,"one in doctrine, one in government,
devided in spirit," was from this very thought.
I have a tape by Brother Urshan preached about giving up his church in
Indianapolis to take the superintendent job of the UPC and how the Holy
Ghost witnessed through a young saint that it was the will of God. I felt
that there were some that could be under the impression that UPC was made by
man, for man as some later bared that out. Confusion just got deeper.
As I looked for a way to exit this confused mess I started, another brother
posted that if what we said might cause hard feelings, we should email each
other privately. So I did that, but the whole message was sent via 'reply'
to Higher-Fire and was posted. Yet a similar post I wrote had been rejected.
(It is plain how that divisions and splits occur from a reply I got from a
bretheren in private)
In waiting for my own answer about my original post and all the differences
of opinion spurrs off it, I checked out a tape preached by Brother Urshan
about oneness in doctrine, oneness in Spirit, amd oneness in government. He
said at the onset that he wanted to share what God had layed (or laid) on
his heart. Tell me, does anyone still believe preachers are annointed by tha
Holy Ghost anymore? Or, do we just accept that which is pleasing to our
spiritual palate as that which is annointed, and that which we differ as
just the person!
What I heard preached under the unction of the Holy Ghost (if anyone
believes that way anymore) was three messages by three men of God. "Don't
Forget Momma," by Brother Kilgore, "One in Doctrine, One in Spirit, and One
in Government," by Brother Urshan, the study about the tabernacle that was
done by Brother Dyess.
In summation, I have the two tapes preached by Brother Kilgore and the one
by Brother Urshan is in the church library. Word Aflame has a book done by a
man filled with the Holy Ghost on the Tabernacle. If there are any questions
about what I believe or who it is I worship, my only request is that you
please hear those tapes, and read the book before you pass judgement.
Otherwise I simply say like Robert Emmet, "Let no man write my epitaph."

P.S. I do notice now some of the other bretheren posting that knows where I
was coming from. You can unsubscribe me from Higher-Fire. Please print this
in full or don't print any of it.
