I have recently become aware of the fact that God wants me to write. I
spoke to my pastor about this and he suggested I write some articles. He
and his wife would review them, and if they're good, they'll help me
contact some Pentecostal magazines to see if they'll get published!! :D
Or, my pastor said, he might use some of it in sermons! :) There are so
many things that come to mind that it is hard to focus. Here are some
ideas I had, are there any others that you all suggest?
a) The spirit of fear (Personal testimony, or can be fictionalized into a
book)
b) The plight of the fatherless and the role of the church.
c) Since there are so many "intro" Bible studies (Search for Truth, Light
for Living, etc), I thought an "advanced" Bible study might benefit those
who are already familiar with the Bible (This would have to be a team
effort).
d) A daily calendar going through the Bible (in one or two years) with a
lesson for each day (probably already been done).
e) When parents backslide.
f) When siblings backslide.
g) Getting off the pew (realizing our mission as "Apostle"-ics is an
outreach ministry--remember, Peter gave a sermon to the house of Cornelius,
not only total strangers, but *gentiles* ("filthy" heathen by their
standards) at that!)
h) Trials of young marrieds.
i) Parables (A book for children that puts the lessons of Jesus' parables
in language they can understand)
j) The role of popular culture in the epistles.
These are just a few ideas I had. (I suppose I could just go down the
list...) If there are any you think about, let me know!
Thanks in advance :),
