Brother Starcher: You have misunderstood me. I am of the opinion that there
has always been a Holy Priesthood. A spiritual body instituted by God and
that body has been under attact by the adversary from the very beginning.
His first work was to convince Eve to convince Adam that he wouldn't die if
he ate from the tree of knowledge. Rebel against God. (Athority) A person
'can' follow this string (rebellous) throughout history.

Moses was told by God to prepare the Ark exactly as He commanded. It's
prints and design came from Him. He chose the tribe of Aaron to minister to
Him as the Royal priesthood. Man had nothing to do with making this
selection. Even when the Ark was in the hands of the Philistenes there was
still a Royal Priesthood in Isreal. How the High Priest performed his
duties, I don't know, but somehow the sins of Isreal was rolled forward
every year.

Man had certainly dropped the ball when it came to the righteous seed being
in possession of the Ark. The Ark was always siginficant of the power and
presence of God. Who was responsible for the righteous seed then? See the
connection? The tribe of Aaron, and the High Priest didn't get to perform
their duties when the ark was in the hands of the Philistenes.
In other words, there was a spiritual connection that was maintained by God
even when the Ark was in captivity by the Philistenes. Surely the tribe of
Aaron couldn't rattle the chain of secession of the ark always being in
their possession back to it's inception, but God always had a Holy Priesthood.

Now, if you can, in your minds eye, see that God always had a Holy
Priesthood, you can reason that God always had a people. The Chosen!
It is my belief that the illumination of Gods word has never ceased in this
world today. Somewhere there was always a people filled with the Holy Ghost,
baptized in Jesus name, obeying the doctrines of the Apostles, and Prophets,
Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone.

And when the fullness of time was fully come, the Spiritual Ark was sent on
a cart back to the real people of God. (They bundeled up the Apostles
doctrine found in the book of Acts and when they did, the New Testament Holy
Priesthood picked it up on a brand new cart and they have been packing it
ever since throught this world today. For, how can they hear without a preacher?

Brother Tenny well said,"Our forefathers were great apostles, prophets,
evangelist, and teachers, not great theologians, and philosophers." He went
on to say,"The emphasis in life and ministry was placed on converting the
world, not upon defending a theological system." I can't name who Brother
Tenny was talking about years ago, but I know some of them that I hold in
the same high esteem today.

Brother Tenny was writing (in a post recently) about another thought, but
his reasoning answers some very important spiritual questions concerning
what we are discussing in pure lineage. He evidently had someone in mind as
apostles, prophets, and teachers that he looked upon in the same high regard
that passed this message on down to him. Many preachers today don't seem to
have that high regard for the ministry, and our heritage.

The beauty of the Holy Priesthood is amoung us today with the keys to the
kingdom of heaven. The keys were passed to Peter. Jesus is the head, but the
keys are amoung us. My disagreement with some of the other bretheren is
the same spirit that inspired Saul to offer the burnt offering when he was
instructed by Samuel to wait for him, 1 Sam. 13:8-12, is still very
prevalent today.

And on top of this, we can be guilty of ignoring some Holy Ghost inspired
messages, for I have heard some that I would say is inspired on this very
subject. I, for one, wouldn't want to be guilty of undermining the Spirit
of God.

I don't have a good computer with all the modern Bible programs etc., so
these are just some of my own personal thoughts. I wish I were as eloquent
as some, and as good at doing a Bible study and putting it in a systematic
order as others, but I have seen some things that alarms me amoung
bretheren, and I would feel guilty if I didn't at least state my opinion on
the subject.
I can't prove that the Oneness people can rattle the chain of secession all
the way back to the Apostles, but I believe it, and I believe that the gifts
of the Spirit are still passed on today, just as they were in the book of Acts.
In His Name. Robert
